Sleepyhead

I'm actually not a rainy day person. I miss the sun. I love the beach! Can't wait for summer. :)

One Proud Pinay!

Fair-skinned may look attractive and beautiful, but morenas are just as beautiful! :) Let's be proud of our skin, it part of our being Pinay.

Killing Our Dreams

Killing our dreams....

The first symptom of the process of killing our dreams is the lack of time. The busiest people I have known in my life always have time enough to do everything. Those who do nothing are always tired and pay no attention to the little amount of work they are required to do. They complain constantly that the day is to short. The truth is, they are afraid to fight the Good fight.

The second symptom of the death of our dreams lies on our certainties. Because we don't want to see life as a grand adventure, we begin to think of ourselves as wise and fair and correct in asking so little of life. We look beyond the walls of our day-to-day existence, and we hear the sound of lances breaking, we smell the dust and the sweat, and we see the great defeats and the fire in the eyes of the warriors. But we never see the delight, the immense delight in the hearts of those who are engaged in the battle. For them, neither victory nor defeat is important; what's important is only that they are fighting the Good fight.

And, finally, the third symptom of the passing our dreams is peace. Life becomes a Sunday afternoon; we ask for nothing grand, and we cease to demand anything more than we are willing to give. In that state, we thin of ourselves as being mature; we put aside the fantasies of our youth, and we seek personal and professional achievement. We are surprised when people our age say that they still want this or that out of life. But really, deep in our hearts, we know that what has happened is that we have renounced the battle for our dreams - we have refused to fight the Good fight.

When we renounce our dreams and find peace, we go through a short period of tranquility. But the dead dreams begin to not within us and to infect our entire being.

We become cruel to those around us, and then we begin to direct this cruelty against ourselves. That's when illnesses and psychoses arise. What we sought to avoid in combat - disappointment and defeat - come upon us because of our cowardice.

And one day, the dead, spoiled dreams make it difficult to breathe, and we actually seek death. It's death that frees us from our certainties, from our work, and from that terrible peace of our Sunday afternoons.

weeeehh.. :) <3

So...

*******

Take the life that you have an give it your best
Think positive, be happy let God do the rest
Take the challenges that life has laid at your feet
Take pride and be thankful for each one you met
To yourself give forgiveness if you stumble and fall
Take the love that you're given and return it with care
Have faith that when needed it will always be there
Take time to find the beauty in the things that you see
Take life's simple pleasures let them set your heart free

The idea here is simply to even the score
As you are met and faced with LIFE's tug of war.

Here it is, the world premiere of the trailer for The Chronicles of Narnia: The Voyage of the Dawn Treader. It releases on December 10, 2010 and was directed by Michael Apted, who takes the reigns from previous Narnia film director Andrew Adamson. I've been a Narnia fan since The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe.
And this is just one of those things I'd be looking forward this December. YEY!

To begin with...

Actually, I can't believe I'm actually doing this. But yes, my soul sibling Tatay inspired me to do so. It's amazing how you can just post anything you want, without having to worry what other people would think or react about it (they wouldn't know anyway).

Life can seem ungrateful and not always kind
Life can pull at your heartstrings and play with your mind
Life can be blissful and happy and free
Life can put beauty in the things that you see
Life can place challenges right at your feet
Life can make good of the hardships we meet
Life can reward those determined to win
Life can overwhelm you and make your head spin
Life can be hurtful and not always fair
Life can surround you with people who care
Life clearly does offer its ups and downs
Life's days can bring you both smiles and frowns
Life teaches us to take the good with the bad
Life is a mixture of happy and sad.
